Diverse Voices at Red Deer Public Library
At RDPL, we strive to champion diverse perspectives and ensure that every person is represented in library programs, collections, and services. The Diverse Voices section of our library's website aims to amplify underrepresented voices, celebrate diversity in all its forms, and connect all members of our community with resources – both within the library and in the greater community – that will increase our knowledge, empathy, understanding, and compassion for one another.
One of our featured communities on the Diverse Voices website is our Indigenous Community. Here, we pull together all of our Indigenous events, such as Let’s speak Cree! = Nehiyawe tan and Books & Bannock Book Club, many staff picks lists and other collection highlights, blog posts, community connections, and more.
