Jessica Johns is a nehiyaw aunty and a member of Sucker Creek First Nation in Treaty 8 territory in Northern Alberta. She has been brewing kombucha for over two years, and started @kokomkombucha on Instagram to share her kombucha-making journey and to provide resources and how-to videos for first-time and seasoned booch lovers. She also practices kombucha brewing in relation to treaty ethics and her own Cree language learning.
